Do you remember the MUZO that was on our menu a little over a year ago?
The MUZO station is owned by Emmanuel Rusatira, founder of BAHO COFFEE, a Rwandan company that operates six washing stations across the country.
Here are a few words from Emmanuel about the goal of the Janja Hill group:
"Janja Hill is a promising area for high-quality coffee, located above 1900 m altitude. The farms share similar conditions, which allows us to process the coffee on-site and identify its unique profiles and attributes. This coffee will be processed separately and promoted to our buyers.
These new groups around our washing stations are built on mutual collaboration: farmers commit to following our training and to building a loyal relationship with Baho. In return, Baho supports them, buys their cherries, promotes their coffee with full traceability, and offers them the best possible price. Our strength lies in the satisfaction of the producers we work with.”
This coffee is juicy and strongly reminds us of the kind of cup you’d expect from the best regions in Kenya!
