Profile: CLASSIC

Tasting Notes: PEAR, NECTARINE, CARAMEL

Here’s Roberto Cheves’ response when I asked him what this lot from his 2025 harvest represents:

“Hi Daniel! 🙌

Thank you for the warmth and for the way you tell the story of origin; it really connects with what we believe in.

Let me tell you a little: for us, the RL1 lot represents our roots. It’s the oldest variety on the farm (over 20 years), which we decided to preserve and care for. In cup, for us, it represents the purest expression of the terroir, because with its age it is in a way already intertwined and adapted to the region, so it is the purest expression of the terroir.”

And that’s exactly what you’ll taste in the cup. A classic coffee, meticulously processed so you can experience the full complexity that La Tormenta coffees have to offer.

It’s a washed process, but with a lactic fermentation that perfectly highlights the Sarchimor variety, bringing out notes of pear, nectarine, and caramel.

The Cheves family is still very present on our menu, but we’re presenting it in a different way than in the past two years.
