WHAT THIS COFFEE MEANS TO US
Apex has been an import partner for several years, and the quality of the coffees they bring in is always top-notch. This lot from Frank Torres is no exception. It showcases a juicy character that we’ve rarely tasted before.
ABOUT FRANK TORRES
Frank Torres is an innovative coffee producer based in La Unión, in the mountainous region of Nariño, Colombia.
At the helm of Finca La Indonesia, located between 1,750 and 1,870 meters above sea level, he combines family heritage with a scientific approach to specialty coffee. A certified Q-Grader and former green coffee buyer, Frank has turned his farm into a hub for precise, repeatable fermentation experiments.
He works with varieties like Sidra, Pink Bourbon, and Maracaturra, often using extended anaerobic processes (up to 120 hours) to craft clean, complex, and sweet flavor profiles. Over 90% of his farm is managed organically.
Through his work, Frank aims to push the boundaries of quality while respecting the ecosystems around him. His coffees are known for their clarity, softness, and a distinctive aromatic signature that stands out in every cup.
